The last Lights of the Lakes show of 2017 took place on a murky December morning. Before the snow started, yours truly trekked to Cedar Ridge Campus, a large independent-living senior apartment complex on the outskirts of West Bend, WI. Lights of the Lakes was chosen as a Life Enrichment and Wellness program for the residents. Around 60 of them gathered in the Grand Room.
Around midway through the program, a predicted snowfall started. Fresh snow on the roads made my return trip slow and slippery. On the way out of the complex, I snapped a shot of the entrance to document my visit.
This final show brought to an end an impressive run of bookings for Lights of the Lakes. 2017 was the most successful year ever for the program, with over 25 performances. Over a dozen are already scheduled in the coming year. Now, it’s time to rest from my hectic pace of the past three months, and savor some downtime during the holiday season.
