Before & After was an instructional presentation given at a meeting of the Milwaukee Photo Pictorialists, my camera club. Club members were shown the “before and after” possibilities available to them through creative use of Adobe Photoshop. The “before” images were original files as they came from the camera. “After” images were end results after lens and perspective distortion, the effects of bad white balance or exposure settings, and other defects were removed.
Subject matter covered in the presentation included:
– Outdoor murals on buildings
– Panoramas made from multiple single images
– Black and white conversions
– Stained glass windows
– Structures (barns, lighthouses)
– Nature (landscapes, wildflowers)
– Objects (signs, an old bike, a lighthouse lens)
