On a gorgeous spring day in May, I headed out with my camera for the first non-business-related photo outing of the year. With photographer friend Howard Vrankin, we traveled to the South Kettle Moraine State Forest in southern Wisconsin. We had hoped for wildflowers, as this should be peak season for them. Alas, none were to be found. The long winter just ended has delayed the flowers until later this month.
With no flowers available, we stopped at the Götten Pioneer Cabin to take a look. That resulted in my only keeper photos of the day.

Very nice photos and entry, Phil. I’m glad to have shared a good day. The burger was great. Thanks for lunch!
