A sunny Sunday afternoon in March found me at Harrington Beach State Park on the Vernal Equinox, aka the first day of spring. Warming temperatures brought out a lot of folks to walk the trails of this forested park on the shore of Lake Michigan. A big attraction at Harrington is Quarry Lake, formed when an old limestone quarry was abandoned and filled with water. Now, it’s a 40-foot-deep lake. Many people like to hike the Quarry Lake Trail around the lake.

As usual, I took my camera along on my walk. Below are the images that found their way into my viewfinder.

I also shot a brief video of the Lake Michigan waves washing ashore at Harrington Beach.
