This weekend found me and my partner taking in Bloomin’ 2022, a featured exhibit at the Museum of Wisconsin Art (MOWA) in West Bend.
The MOWA website describes this popular exhibit as follows:
Flowers and art come together for the 10th annual Bloomin’ weekend. Enjoy the natural beauty of floral arrangements throughout the museum galleries as twenty area florists transform the museum into enchanted garden. Featured artist Leslie Iwai creates large-scale sculptural floral installation in MOWA’s atrium with 20-foot tulips.
Floral Arrangements
While MOWA visitors can always count on a visually stirring experience, Bloomin’ 2022 was something special. This annual exhibition focused on presenting the creations of talented florists who worked plants, flowers, driftwood, and other materials into works of art in their own right. Their floral arrangements were displayed throughout the MOWA corridors and galleries near other artworks from the museum’s permanent collection.
Eye-Catching Exhibits
While today’s visit to MOWA emphasized the many unique floral arrangements on display as part of Bloomin’ 2022, other museum exhibits are worthy of your attention as well. Here are a few that caught this photographer’s eye.
The MOWA Experience
The Museum of Wisconsin Art is a spectacular building that’s a work of art in itself. You can’t help but be captivated by the striking visuals awaiting you during your visit.
