On a Sunday afternoon when it was way too nice to stay inside, I decided to grab my camera and head down to the harbor in Port Washington. There was a lot going on: boaters and sailboats out on Lake Michigan, tourists exploring our waterfront, parents pushing babies in strollers, people walking dogs, hanging out on boats, and even a good crowd enjoying live music at Newport Shores, a popular waterfront restaurant.
An unexpected but very welcome surprise was to discover a meetup of the Gasoholics Car Club underway in Upper Lake Park. Classic muscle cars, restored pickups, a beautiful hot rod, and more. And club members just enjoying being together on an absolutely perfect June day.
