SCORE is a volunteer organization made up of highly-skilled business professionals in the area, who volunteer their time to help small businesses succeed. Over 11,000 volunteers serve in over 300 SCORE chapters nationwide.
The SCORE SE Wisconsin chapter offers several Counseling Fairs each year. These free events offer a chance for small business entrepreneurs to sit down for an hour with a SCORE professional, in confidence, to discuss their business or start up.
I’ve had the opportunity to serve small business clients at several past counseling fairs now. In today’s session, I counseled on Digital and Social Media Marketing. The session was described as follows.
Phil Block helps SCORE clients establish or enhance their Web presence, including their primary Web site and its social media extensions. He serves on the SCORE Technology, Strategic Planning, and Education teams. His business skills include business analysis, technical and marketing communications and training. Phil is also a photographer and creator of Lights of the Lakes, a historical Great Lakes lighthouse program.
